"....how very much we enjoyed our week in this fabulous log house. We chose Rocksite out of a long list of possible rentals and what a marvellous choice it turned out to be. The house itself in the wooded setting grew on us more each day until it was hard to leave to come home, and the surrounding countryside proved so varied and interesting, both for walking and driving. We had a dog in our party and he was in his element! The village shop was a real boon because we wanted to spend as little time as possible in the car. (the boring, legal stuff)

Prices include bed linen (changed weekly), cleaning, tea towels, firewood, gas, cleaning materials and guests' first £10.00 worth of electricity. Any electricity used in excess of £10.00 is charged at cost by meter reading.

Guests need to bring hand and bath towels, toiletries, food, pet bedding and consumable items.

STANDARD LETS: Prices are based on a standard let of 7 (seven) nights from Saturday to Saturday.

NON-STANDARD LETS: Non-standard reservations, e.g. for 10 nights, may occasionally be accepted - please contact the owners before making a reservation if you would like a non-standard let.

SHORT LETS: We regret that until further notice we are not able to accept reservations of short lets of fewer than five nights' duration, unless the hirer is willing to pay the rate for five nights, which is 80 per cent of the seven-night rate. However, any let that includes Christmas Day or New Year's Eve will be charged at a minimum of the seven-night rate for that week.

DEPOSIT: A non-returnable deposit of  £75.00 is required to confirm a reservation. The balance must be received not later than 1 month before the entry date. No refunds can be made in the event of cancellation within 1 month of entry date unless we receive another let of equal value for the same period. Guests are strongly advised to obtain holiday cancellation insurance.

The number of persons occupying Rocksite must not exceed 6 (six) persons plus one infant using the cot, unless otherwise agreed in advance in writing.

House-trained pets are welcome, but must be kept out of the bedrooms and off the furniture at all times. Dogs must be kept on a leash while in the vicinity of neighbouring houses and must not be left alone in the house at any time.
